Garden of Scripture Prayer and Promises When Jesus is our Lord and Savior, all God's scriptural promises belong to us. They can become tools to strengthen our faith and ways to pray for others. We need to believe scriptural promises, stand on them, pray them and speak them out loud. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (based on 1 John 3:1) Praise God, your Word is eternal; it stands firm in the Heavens. (based on Psalm 119:89) Thank you, Heavenly Father, that when I pass through the waters, You will be with me; when I pass through the rivers they will not sweep over me; when I walk through the fire, I will not be burned and the flames will not set me ablaze. (based on Isaiah 43:2) Almighty God, help me to know in the depths of my heart that You are good, that your love endures forever, and that your faithfulness continues through all generations. (based on Psalm 100:5) Praise your Name, Lord God, for a righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all. (based on Psalm 34:19) Thank you, Lord God, that You have made known to me the path of life; that You fills me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right Hand. (based on Isaiah 61:3b) Praise the Lord! You are my Strength, my Rock, my Fortress and Deliverer; my Refuge, my Shield, my Stronghold and the Horn of my Salvation.
